DVSoftware

what is that IM app that looks like adiumx on mac?

Rikoto

No, it is an os based on FreeBSD http://www.pcbsd.org

DVSoftware

hm, i never asked about OS (i just compared it to mac). I asked what is Instant Messaging application on right side of your screen?

Rikoto

Oh, that looks like simICQ

DVSoftware

nbensa

1) where can I get kbfx? 2) how do I install it on my PC-BSD os?

anupamsr

M$ or not, this looks slick and beutiful.

Where can I get the wallpaper that you used in this screenshot? It is awesome and so are these buttons. Your moodin splash engine is sweet too. Thanks for all your great contributions. Keep up the great work!!

Jonathan2007

This wallpaper can now be found on this site located at http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=29966 but that person put a LinuxVista logo on it which looks dumb imo.

I'm a bit new to KDE, and I've got a few questions on how to get my setup as slick-looking as the screenshot. I tried setting the included .png as the background, but there were still a lot of horrid button/minimized window backgrounds. How do I get rid of these? How did you remove the border from the minimized window buttons on the panel? Also, do you have a corresponding theme that goes well with this? Thanks in advance, Jake

search for taskbar2 on kde-apps.org to have translucent taskbar entries (this feature is included in kde 3.5). maybe its already included in your distribution. its name could also be "mtaskbar" sometimes kicker needs a restart to show all the stuff as u expect, so just invoke: dcop kicker kicker restart on the commmand line i have no theme at all, but i can make one for you. just email me. thats no problem cya

Why does everyone always talk about manualy editing the kbfx config file to change buttons? On my system, all one has to do is drag and drop a new kbfx icon overtop of the old one and it changes to the new one. No configuration fiddling whatsoever. Is it just Debian? Did I just get lucky somehow? Or, is it that some Linux geeks just can't resist the urge to manually edit config files? I'm at a loss...

moodwrod

i do it the same way, but i don't know how to change the hover and pressed images. and it seems to me, that it doesn't work always :)

chareos

what do your windows look like ?

moodwrod

i have no windows installed.

aVirulence

He probably tries to ask you whether you have a vista-lookalike window decoration installed.

moodwrod

hm, i was amazed about that question :) my windows look like every other windows with plastik windec and style.

aVirulence

Yes actually, I was too. :)

RND

you should use crystal windec, thatl make it more like vista.

moodwrod

well, i don't want it to look like vista :)

chareos

not meant the os... ^^
