Keramik Kicker Backgrounds
Source (link to git-repo or to original if based on someone elses unmodified work):
Keramik is probably one of the most promising themes for KDE - so I tried to make some kicker backgrounds to go with it (and get some of the fame ;-)).
Credits:
qwertz for keramik (I used an empty toolbar as basis for all of them)
everaldo for crystal
With the initial "release" (it's so small, you can hardly call that a release :-)), I had the strong feeling, that they looked better on the screenshots than in real life. I hope, this is fixed :-)
Summary:
+ New new: a lot of new colors. This is probably the final release, unless I get asked for new colors, or Keramik changes its look - then I will adapt them.
+ New Keramik radiobutton
+ For you blue folks: included 3 kicker backgrounds.
+ I made them a little smoother, so now they fit better and look better, I hope (If not, drop me a line).

Is there any other way to install this, then the one already described here and in the Readme?
I have a problem with Kicker, and I really need help! When I apply a background for kicker, the taskbar, system tray and clock doesn't use the background image, but uses the default program background colour instead. It is really wierd and looks very bad. It worked on my old SuSE 7.3 +kde3 installation, but after i switched to SuSE 8.0 my Kicker have behaved like this. Anyone who knows what causes this, and how to fix it? Thanks!
You can download the new package, it has the radiobutton, which has a new circle with the right size. Michael
1. Is anybody interested at all in that radio button ? 2. Do you like it ? I think the black circle in my radiobutton can be made a little bigger, this is going to happen soon (If just one person tells me, he is using it :-)) Micha
the radio button in the screenshot looks just like the radiobutton from the regular release of keramik. Perhaps you mean checkbox?
AFAIK I mean a checked radio button. Again AFAIK with a checkbutton, you can select multiple things. I mean the button, where you can select only one out of many choices and they are usually round and IMHO called radiobuttons. Michael
Sorry for posting here but where can I find the beutiful wallpaper I can see in your third screenshot? Thank You
I first thought, that it was a standard KDE 3 wallpaper, but now I can't seem to find it in the CVS resources. Maybe it was in KDE 2 - but I can still send it to you, if you want. Just email me: michael.linux@web.de Michael
it was in kde2 (and i seem to have it in kde3). its called default_blue.jpg
to make kicker background transparent (I love keramik backgrounds it's only to change the look ;)
Very nice. Great idea. Now Keramik will be more consistent. I love the way Keramik looks. My favorite themes are: Kermik Liquid Visual Prefs (screenshot: http://members.ozemail.com.au/~abug/html/ss1.jpg) Thanks!

Holy Moly! Ca. 20min of work and you guys gave me 89% rating. I expected sth. like 60-75. If you have any wishes (like make a darker version or sth. else) just tell me. I'm going to improve them a little more as a big thank you. Affenschlaffe
