btw, i know kbfx install, just curious about the clock background...
If You use resolution 1280x1024 its simple. Make your kicker size 42, then change clock style to normal(font : Arial 11 or other). Most aplets use for backgound, beginig of the kicker background. If you use other resolution, you have to scale kicker background in gimp (1024x768 -> 1024x42) It should work.
