Hi I am the original creator of this theme. I was looking through my old projects and realised the download link pointing to an external URL is dead. Luckily the brilliant internet archive project made a snapshot of the file so here is the link for anyone who might want to install the theme. I've tested it on the latest version of chrome and it still works perfectly: https://web.archive.org/web/20160603123341/http://sky-kde4-google-chrome-theme.googlecode.com/files/Kde-sky-0.3.crx
This is beautiful. I'm wondering how hard it would be to edit the code for the Oxygen style so that I could skin it with this background for all KDE apps. I've not done it before. Should I attempt it?
Thanks :) It would be really easy. All the documentation is easily accessible online and chrome will even package and sign the the theme for you. Google and GIMP (and ark) are your friends!
please another BackGround on the "newtab pagee" or only white or a gradient blue to white
Sorry i dont really have the time to do this. The theme is old now anyway and doesn't really work with kde 4.4. Feel free to change it yourself though.
Good theme, but one bad thing: tabs are not prelighted when mouse cursor is over them (in the default theme inactive prelight tabs are slightly brighter).
This looks amazing. I'm keeping it, however, do you think it's possible to change the background of the tabs to be the radial gray like all the other KDE windows by default? I do like the blue tabs though :) Unfortunately, the bright blue does not match KDE 4.4 well... I think you need to create a bright blue theme for KDE 4.4 to match it :)
thanks, works in chromium 5!
Really Nice. The tabs are very nice looking. But I noticed a little problem of lisibility in the 'new tab' page with websites preview and name
Thanks! The bugs you are describing are now fixed in 0.3. :)
nice ! now we need a real kde4 firefox theme! and the good news are that it's almost ready!!
Link? :)
you will find it here in kde-look in a few days ! take a look at this screenshot : http://img18.imageshack.us/img18/687/oxyfire.png Just a little patience ! thanks !!
That is sweet. Far more oxygen like than the other firefox themes. Bespin coming soon? :p
it's a little bit too blue for me but pretty nice :)
I may do other colours/styles soon. Thanks though ;)
cool, that gray like in the taskpanel would be nice..
Do you mean the tabbar of version 1.0?
no, the normal kde taskbar when using the air theme...
ahhh... i see. I may do a more oxygen/bespin like colour scheme soon. With this theme i just wanted to kind of mix the default style of chrome with air. :)
LOL You mean the panel with composting enabled. The air panel is actually a grey colour. It is only blue when there is a blue background (air wallpaper) and composting is enabled because its transparent. I see the colour you mean now though and may look into this more ;)
Much better now, I will definitely use it as default. Great job, and thank you for making this.
No problem and thanks for your constructive comments earlier :)
Try to fix a glitch around url bar: http://imagebin.ca/view/0TngX5.html Difference between open and background tabs looks too drastic: http://imagebin.ca/view/7VOcVb.html Like background tabs belong to another theme Try to use oxygen icons, something like this: http://imagebin.ca/view/eX85ZNO.html
Try to fix a glitch around url bar: http://imagebin.ca/view/0TngX5.html Wish i could... chrome will not allow it. Infact this is the best it can be at present :( Difference between open and background tabs looks too drastic: http://imagebin.ca/view/7VOcVb.html Like background tabs belong to another theme In-fact i like this it gives clear definition between background and forground tabs. I did initially make the tab-bar the same gradient as the background. It looked awful lol but i may change this at some point (dunno how yet) Try to use oxygen icons, something like this: http://imagebin.ca/view/eX85ZNO.html You have to do this yourself in google chrome's settings (looks crap). Unfortunately you cant package or configure the theme to use icons in the .crx yet.
