Description: This is my first attempt at a lilo bootsplash for Slackware 12. (I couldn't take that red box for another minute) Download the file, which will be a 256 color bitmap. in the terminal descend into the directory where you saved it rename the file lilo.bmp
then as root do the following: # ls /boot (if there is already a lilo.bmp file there then make a backup of it i.e., # mv /boot/lilo.bmp /boot/lilo.bmp.bak ) copy the new lilo.bmp with: # cp lilo.bmp /boot backup your existing lilo.conf file with: # cp /etc/lilo.conf /etc/lilo.conf.bak then with your favorite editor add the following to /etc/lilo.conf (add it right after the line that says "boot=/dev/whatever...")
Thanks MAN
But I'm Face crazy thing ... when I remove the pic from /boot
the pic still in splash also I try to put other Pic and try to remove the line that we add in /etc/lilo.conf
My Dist. is Back|Track
thanks

Ok ... another Hint I'm Design bmp and put it in lilo put it send to me error message I say: Unsupported bitmap can you help my ?
if lilo is returning an unsupported bitmap error, that means your video card (display adapter) does not support framebuffer resolution...
