- Added chinese and indonesian translations. - Change the screenshot method back to spectacle
10Absolutely what I have been looking for.
@Paju - I sent finnish translation to the project's Github-page.
There are also a couple of forks in the Github page - if someone is interested - for example this one https://store.kde.org/p/1935442
10Saves settings I didn't even expect it to like my kvantum configuration, and works pretty well! Sometimes I have to manually use krunner to start plasma again after selecting a configuration but other than that theres no issues
It is working for me but I do find that when I load a saved configuration I pretty much lose my desktop and have to logout and log back in for things to work. It does load the saved config though. So it does work, just glitchy.
4This broke my desktop :( I saved my current configuration, moved my panel a little, and loaded my saved config. My entire desktop is now black, no panels, and no way to open new windows. thinking i need to reinstall. I dont recommend this until its fixed :(
Alas, with the update 20.04 to 22.04 it stopped working here.
Worse: Recalling a previously stored configuration (stored running the current 22.04) the desktop freezes. A forced logout becomes necessary to make the desktop available again.
I have filed this as bug 1991641.
This looks like just what I need. The export looks good, but when I try and import on a new VM, nothing happens. I'm guessing it has to do with Qt.labs.platform. How do I install it on Fedora?
10Thank you for this great utility!
Using spectacle to take screenshot sounds a good idea, without requiring any additional installation, although this will requiring some manual tweaking for some people who prefer ksnip screenshot utility because of its superior image annotation features which spectacle is slowly following its track. ;-)
BTW you forgot to remove "scrot" from the Requirements section above, and you might also like to add this info somewhere that commenting out the line spectacle -b -n -o "$configFolder/screenshot.png" and inserting ksnip -f -p "$configFolder/screenshot.png" in the file save.sh will let ksnip to take screenshot instead of spectacle, or you might even improve that script to check first which screenshot tool is being used etc...
I would love to use this widget, but I cannot install it/make it work. When i install from widget-manager, I can add it to my desktop but am not able to save.
9This app is one of the most useful tools for KDE Plasma. Besides saving a lot of headache doing backups and ensuring the plasmoid behavior remains consistent even if some bug occurs, I found it to be a very easy way to deploy an almost perfect "tablet mode" switch, like in that of Windows 10, in KDE Plasma!! This is super great.
One suggestion of improvement is to also save the "application styles" settings and the "windows decorations" settings together with the applet configs and panel configs that the current application already saves/restore. In this case, it is important to remember to ensure that the "application styles" and "windows decorations" settings are also applied when a previous customization save is restored.

10 The best. Please, can you port it to KDE6?

It's the same for me.
1 Not working properly in latest Plasma 5. Full of bugs. It seems to be abandoned. Last contribution on February 12, 2022.
