Video desktop wallpaper for plasma KDE, based on "/u/samrog" plugin wallpaper.
To use a video as wallpaper use -> Smart Video Wallpaper . This minimizes the use of CPU resources.
Installation
Download and run:
kpackagetool5 -t Plasma/Wallpaper -i videolockscreen.tar.gz Use
1. Choose the option shown in the first image above.
2. Select your video.
3. The option "Use double player" : avoid annoying transition (black screen) in video loop playback.

Will this app have a version for plasma 6? My Garuda forced entry to plasma 6. But this add-on is more important to me than plasma 6. Now I'm unable to use it... 😐
9 Good plugin, good to use not only for lock screen, but as livewallpaper engine for usually desktop.

I have the same issue as winicius. Using arch, all the KDE stuff is up to date.
Hi, it seems a bug of kscreenlocker sandboxing, ( https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=415854 ) . I will be attentive to the solution. It occurs in RR distributions.
Anyone else having a problem using this plugin on Manjaro? It stopped working for me a few months ago(I only get the screen locker is broken... message) but still works for Fedora
