hello i hope you still answer im new to lxqt and i want to download a theme.. i followed the instructions on how to install but i'm having an error when copy-pasting the file please help
To copy paste in /usr/share/lxqt/themes you have to use "root" mode
With GUI :
- Open file manager (pcmanfm-qt)
- On menubar, choose Tool ==>Open As Root ==> type your password
- Copy paste file in /usr/share/lxqt/themes
I have a question unrelated but I thought you may can help me. Will KDE GTK themes work on LXQT??? As the BREEZE GTK themes. I had a guy said they would but I am not sure. Seems they should since both are QT but I was needing to know for sure.
Well I make gtk themes that work for KDE so they are the GTK theme made specifically to work in QT so I had a guy tell me he was using my themes in LXQT so I was wondering because if so i will start posting them here also.
See in KDE you have main system KDE is QT but in order to run classic gtk themes we run a special gtk theme that doesnt work in regular gtk desktop environments like Gnome. It only works in KDE using GTK apps. So the theme is for GTK but works in QT for our gtk apps. So it is gtk I guess but it does not work in Gnome.
GTK themes built for a QT desktop do not work in a normal gtk desktop but they work in Lubuntu as a GTK theme. That is all I was saying. GTK's built for normal GTK " Gnome" Desktop work in all of them as gtk themes but that is not the case with GTK themes built in a Qt desktop. They are different.

Pardon, little confuse... Is it KDE(Qt) or Gtk theme ? Yes, Gtk theme can installed in LXQt, but it only applied on Gtk based apps.

I downloaded this theme and had a lokk inside and although I see some things similar it is not the same.
