This is the latest iteration of the XFCE-cation of Mc-OS CTLina. (the gnome-version), a desktop-interpretation of a certain Cupertino-based OS for XFCE
It is developed and made for XFCE 4.14.
For optimal setting, please follow the following guidelines:
1. Download and extract the file to a ".themes"-folder in your Home-file, or (with administrative rights) extract it to the usr/share/themes -folder. 2. Select the theme in the Appearance-application. 3. Select the theme in the Window-manager. 4. In Window Manager Tweaks/compositor activate the following: - Enable display compositing - Show windows preview in place of icons when cycling - Show shadows under popup windows - Show shadows under regular windows 5. Disable show shadows under docked windows 6. Set Opacity of popup windows a bit more transparent (this makes the background of the menu's transparent). 7. In the Qt5 Settings configuration application/Appearance, set the style to gtk2 8. In the Qt5 Settings configuration application/Fonts select a font that is the same as the one you use. 9. In the Qt5 Settings configuration application/Icons select the same icon-theme as the one you use. 10. In the Qt5 Settings configuration application/Interface, deactivate 'Dialog buttons have icons' 11. In the Window Manager move the title-buttons to the left.
Next, I prefer 'Roboto Regular' as my main font (just google it)
Important: This theme only works with a compositor enabled !
qt5ct complains about invalid env variable s/b qt5ct, is currently gtk2
there is no gtk2 choice in style, I just get Fusion and Windows
when I run gvim I get :
(gvim:417219): Gtk-WARNING **: 12:04:08.838: Theme parsing error: gtk.css:7853:22: Expected '(' after 'url'
(gvim:417219): Gtk-WARNING **: 12:04:08.838: Theme parsing error: gtk.css:7853:147: Invalid character in string. Must be escaped.
(gvim:417219): Gtk-WARNING **: 12:04:08.842: Theme parsing error: gtk.css:11635:3: '/*' in comment block
(gvim:417219): Gtk-WARNING **: 12:04:08.842: Theme parsing error: gtk.css:11741:2: '/*' in comment block
and many more
9Perfect, my only slight issue is that color changes for hovering and clicking on buttons do not work in the Light theme, it works only in the Dark theme. Thank you so much for the theme!
Hi Paul
When using firefox you must have a frame or shadow around the right-click menu on the Mc-OS CTLina XFCE theme

true, unfortunately the XFCE-windowmanager needs rather thick borders to produce a resize area large enough to make the resize-grip to appear. this conflicts with the clean minimal border of MC-OS.
The style is looks good, but instead of use 2 taskbar, remove the top taskbar plugin and replace it with the xfce4-topmenu-plugin or xfce4-windowck-plugin, it will make more sense and will look better

10 Perfect! I wish you could change the bottom border radius of windows BTW; but overall it IS indeed one of the best themes I have ever installed.

Report a bug, After I switch to this theme in the Window-manager, i can't resize the window size with mouse on border drag anymore.

I can still resize the window in the upper right corner. Thank you for making such a great theme
