9 Very good. It’s a pity that newly minimized applications do not stand out in any way on the taskbar. So I use the desktop theme from this theme https://store.kde.org/p/1499884

10 One of the best and most harmonious dark theme for plasma, and the gnome version is equally good.

9 Congratulations, this is one of my favorites! But I need to report two glitches: (1) the "applications" icon in the bottom of the new launcher/menu is badly resized; (2) the close "x" button on the notification balloons is too big and ends up hiding the circular timer around it. PS: Mgła is good, but try listening to ColdWorld. \m/(>_<)\m/

Thank you for the kind feedback and thank you for the music suggestion. The applications icon in menu is already fixed. I have however not uploaded the update to opendesktop.org. You can grab the latest version from the project's page (https://gitlab.com/pwyde/monochrome-kde) using the installer script. Regarding the second issue... Yes, I am aware of this. I am working on a complete re-design of the theme which will address this issue including more. Unfortunately progress is slow at the moment. Hence I cannot give an ETA on it.

10 Excellent theme! It would be nice to see a light version of this theme.

Thank you! I can't promise a light version of the theme. I am not as passionate about light themes since I feel a huge discomfort in my eyes from them.

Why does your theme not uninstall? That is a problem! Where is all the icons for applications, used in Manjaro KDE? This is an issue. It would be a great theme if it worked? Thanks

Hi! Here is the rather late and long explanation. The global theme file (.../plasma/look-and-feel/com.gitlab.pwyde.monochrome-kde/metadata.desktop) has Papirus icons set as a dependency. Hence it will automatically download the Papirus icon theme from https://store.kde.org/p/1166289 The issue is that the icon theme must be installed using a install script, which will of course not be executed automatically when downloaded by Plasma. Please see the project page as stated in the description above: https://gitlab.com/pwyde/monochrome-kde Issues/questions/suggestions are better handled by creating an issue on the project page. Also available on GitHub if that is preferred: https://github.com/pwyde/monochrome-kde

Man, I tell ya what. I was looking for this sort of color theme as I just switched to Plasma. Nice instructions for noobs like me. I gotta say, it looks so good with orange folders. Great job man. Also, any chance to share your wall above? Thanks.

Global Themes

Global Themes in Plasma are Meta- or Super-Themes, capable of changing multiple aspects of the desktop environment at once, like Window Decoration, Plasma Theme, Color Scheme, Icon Theme etc. In addition, one can define the complete Layout, like what panel to use where, the menu type used and much more.

An example Global Theme:
