10 This is the best Grub theme I came by in a year. Very elegant and it looks so professional. I have a dual boot OS and I love it when every time I boot my laptop to see this amazing Grub menu

Guys to work on Linux Mint LMDE 4, I unzipped the tar.gz file, installed it with ./install.sh, then I needed to set the theme by editing the /boot/grub/grub.cfg file. I searched for the theme line and set it up like this: set theme = ($ root) /boot/grub/themes/CypherRe/theme.txt Great theme!

GRUB

How to install a grub theme:

  1. Extract the theme to /boot/grub/themes/

  2. Edit /etc/default/grub file. Find the line starting with "#GRUB_THEME" and change it to "GRUB_THEME=/boot/grub/themes/[THEME_FOLDER]/[theme.txt]" (replace [THEME_FOLDER] ; [theme.txt] is probably OK ; remove "[]" brackets)

  3. Run sudo update-grub
