Description:mGBA is an emulator for running Game Boy Advance games. It aims to be faster and more accurate than many existing Game Boy Advance emulators, as well as adding features that other emulators lack. It also supports Game Boy and Game Boy Color games.
Notes: This is the Qt version of mGBA. I am not the developer of this app; I'm just providing an AppImage for Linux (64-bits).

on the other hand your other one VisualBoyAdvance-M, worked flawlessly too, it recognized the joystick, but it doesnt understand what a pressed button is, which is repetition, rendered the graphics differently from mGBA
Hey thanks for the feedback. I unpublished VBA-M because it refused to work on a Debian 9 system for some strange reason (it threw a "memory corruption" error, not sure why) and it had lots of stuttering problems on my system. But mGBA seemed to work super nice, aside from a lack of controller support. For now I think you could use AntiMicroX or QJoyPad to map keys with the gamepad.
just tried the flatpak version of mGBA, it came with translations and the controller section in options was there, it recognized my controller, so there is something wrong in your compilation, i dont know how hard it is, but maybe you can fix it.
I've updated the AppImage. It now has the translations bundled in and gamepad support.
Just tested, running flawlessly, if i had to say something about mGBA is that it doesnt recognize the joystick, so if you plan to play using one, forget just keyboard.
