Description: This is my attempt of porting one of my favorite custom themes from Windows 7. Sort of that is. I just took some pngs from this style. Found there: https://www.deviantart.com/steel89/art/Cur7ed-Beta-Visual-Style-185687277
What I have is is a combination of Volatile and the Cur7ed theme. With all these flat themes, I really missed the appeal of glossy transparency. The menu icon I sort of made. I got a copy of KDE Neon's icon and put a glassy effect to it.
Icons I am using are from here if interested: https://store.kde.org/p/1333537/
you have a right to do that, but that is not a global theme and should not be called one. A discription of the current elements would be nice also. Looks good other then that my friend. Good luck with your tinkering.
1010 the best - Like your theme. Though there are no Kvantum, GTK theme, nor Splash or SDDM. Like what you have done.
As far as Kvantum, GTK, Splash, SDDM, I use my favorites, and your theme does not clash. That's a real accomplishment.
Yeah. I mainly focused on the KWin and Plasma theme. I mainly did this because I missed the whole glossy look that Windows 7 had; especially with that Cur7ed custom theme for Windows 7. A lot of themes have been flat and transparent. While nice, it's too common.
Anyway, I just use KV Glass for my Kvantum theme and the icons you see there. As far as the splash and SDDM, I use the background you see there. And in my splash, I have a Yin Yang image spinning and the center image is the from a game; a dragoon spirit from the Legend of Dragoon. ;)
Based on your suggestion, I have switched to Kvantum-Glassy. Light/dark kvantum your theme stands tall. Now when I am in the mood for a dark theme, I'll just switch my Kvantum theme, and vice versa.
Thank you. Well, that sounds like a plan. But you're missing something. You know the moonlight wallpaper in screenshots? Well, that's actually a video background (from YouTube) with moving grass and fireflies.
So my desktop has that magical majestic feel to it. ;)
It's 3 hours and 30 mins. Here it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SN3xlcjbvUo
First I downloaded the video using youtube-dl.
Then I used ffmpeg to only get about 10 minutes, removing a portion of the beginning of it and I removed the sound. Also, I made the resolution smaller (1280x720) so that my CPU usage would only be 5% with plasmashell.
Using a command like this example: ffmpeg -an -ss 00:00:15.00 -i input.mov -vcodec libx264 -pix_fmt yuv420p -profile:v baseline -level 3 -t 00:10:00.00 -vf scale=1280:720 output.mp4
Again, thanks. As far as GTK themes are concerned, I don't know if you are aware of this theme "pho-earth-adaptive" it is a set it once and forget it theme because it will adapt to whatever plasma theme you select. Have a great day.
Really? I never would have guessed. Right now, I am using ChromeOS-Dark-UltraViolet. To make GTK match with my wallpaper and icons.
It's a good thing I really don't use that many GTK apps other than Firefox (other GTK apps I rarely use); I was using a style called Blurredfox with Firefox. But now that doesn't work... If by some miracle Firefox could be QT, then that would be awesome.
But yeah. I definitely try out that GTK theme. Thanks!

Again, it's something I put together for easy access. And so that I could set in a couple clicks or so. I'm lazy that way. ;)
es need all the essentials for a global theme, otherwise it would be a good.
Yeah. But my main focus was the window theme and plasma theme. ;)

Excellent! After all the desktop should be something that one makes his/hers, and should be a pleasing and satisfying experience. BTW youtube URL :-)

Thanks a bunch.
Oh. And I use SmartER video wallpaper. It's a plugin you can get for using videos as wallpapers on Plasma. Enjoy. ;)

My final setup using your theme is Kvantum-Irixium
Nice. ;)
