NOW, FOUR COLORS TO CHOOSE FROM: COLD-STEEL, BLUE-STEEL, MOLTEN-STEEL AND TOTAL-STEEL
Valyrian is grounded on the Arc theme, ranked as the most popular Linux desktop theme for the past several years, according to major sources: (Best 12 GNOME Themes of 2022) https://linuxhint.com/best-gnome-themes/; (Top 15 Gnome Themes) https://www.ubuntupit.com/top-15-best-gnome-shell-themes-gnome-desktop; (Best GNOME Themes For Your Ubuntu Desktop in 2022) https://www.debugpoint.com/gnome-themes-2022/. For this reason, the developers have taken mindful care to keep every element in line with what Arc fans would appreciate. The result, we believe, delivers maximum comfort and readability to users; while simultaneously looking robust and elegant.
Special thanks to horst3180 at: https://github.com/horst3180/Arc-theme, for initially advancing Arc, and for inspiration. Further thanks to NicoHood at: https://github.com/NicoHood/arc-theme, for keeping Arc alive and great, more currently.
Manual Installation Is Easy:
For themes: 1) Extract the "tar.xz" file into your "~/.themes/" folder - to install for current user only - or into the "/usr/share/themes/" folder - for the theme to be applied globally. 2) Use GNOME Tweaks, Dconf Editor, or an equivalent 'Look & Feel'/configuration app to enable it for your desktop.
If installing manually, make sure to install the dependency: "Murrine theme engine" if you do not already have it; and update your GTK+packages if you have not.
When installing the Geany text editor theme, put the unzipped file in your home directory at: ~/.config/geany/colorschemes (create the 'colorschemes' directory, to mimic previous directions, if it doesn't yet exist )
Logging out and then logging back in may be necessary on some operating systems to fully implement themes and icons.
2023-11-21: Version 1.6.2
This update recolors animations to the menu/dialogs for scrollbars and sliders controlled by the shell. These tweaks switch the static and active animations to the menu/dialogs for scrollbars and sliders vis the Blue-Steel, Molten-Steel and Cold-Steel variants Here, the brighter rendering of the individual flavor variant's accent color is now present when in the static mode. Additionally, the active element for scrollbars and sliders vis the Blue-Steel, Molten-Steel and Cold-Steel variants were changed to display a more muted rendering of the individual flavor variant's accent color. Most GTK themes that differentiate via colors for scrollbars and sliders use the newly applied scheme. Commit: c296d33

10 Are you gonna add GTK4 support ? can't apply it on Libadwaita Flatpak right now
10 This is a great theme. One of the best.
10 Another Arc variant for those of us that simply needs that "just works" aspect to a Linux experience. I generally try material or some mystery architecture first but have to finally rely on Arc for comprehensive stability. Thank you, again!
10 Winter is coming, lol, these are all really awesome! I think the "Total" version is most comprehensive though. I installed the Geany just to have everything match, it is a great editor, once you figure out how to configure to taste. Thank you!
10 You've really been busy with Arc since I last visited, like four years ago. This one is definitely a classic! Thanks mate!
10 Good is to check in all these them is to see some color will change!
10 10 the best I tried another dark theme that had a matching light one for the first time. It looks different from this one but similar blue colors. I am working more at night now and it is better then with a dark one, but is/will there be a light valyrian too?
Awesome, thanks! I'm thinking I may do the light in the semi-near future. :)
9 When Green-Stell?
Thanks, try this one. It is built on the same Arc base as Valyrian - just green this time. https://www.pling.com/p/1974519/

10 You know I usually don't go past a 9 rating but this one's good enough right out of the box. Thanks, good to see you're still up here, I saw you were gone the last couple of times I was on here.
10 10 the best It is so beautiful and to have the geany the same also, thanks many times!
I gained more knowledge after reading this! Thanks for sharing great information, https://www.insulationvictoria.com/

Thanks a bunch, intro18!
10 Looking so fire!
10 Another one of your clever Arc themes in disguise :-). Glad I found it, thanks!
10 Valyrian rules!! I want arc but got tired of arc dark after 3 years--yet this is still the bones of arc--too-awesome!! Thanks!
10 This one keeps getting better. I've been relying on your themes to get by with a light sensitivity condition for a while now, and this one has helped the most (since you quit updating Nocturnal theme) :-). Please keep um coming!
