- Installing Gedit
Currently, the new GNOME Text Editor is installed by default, and Gedit can be installed from the repositories of each Linux distribution.
Some examples from the command line are:
- For Ubuntu users and derivatives:
"sudo apt install gedit"
- For Arch Linux and derivatives:
"sudo pacman -S gedit"
- For OpenSuse and derivatives:
"sudo zypper install gedit"
- For Fedora and derivatives:
"sudo dnf install gedit"

- Applying Themes.
There are two different ways to apply themes in the editors, since with the arrival of Gnome 43, Gedit was separated and Gnome Text Editor replaced it; We will look at the two ways for both editors below.
Installation for Gedit
- 1. First download the files and extract them.
- 2. Once the files are extracted, go to the path: $HOME/.local/share/gedit/styles, if the 'styles' folder is missing, you can create it, then cut and paste the themes files into the folder 'styles'.
Installation for Gnome Text Editor
- 1. Same Gedit step, download and extract.
- 2. Open the terminal and run the command: sudo nautilus
- 3. Go to the following path: /usr/share/gnome-text-editor/styles, then cut and paste the themes files into the folder 'styles'.
For both, the themes are applied from the settings of each editor.
I HOPE YOU ENJOY THEM!!! };-]
