Description: A dark theme with transparent elements, shadows, gradients, transitions and rounded corners. You can choose from various colors, window control buttons, and transparency levels. Tested on Linux Mint 22
You can easily create your own color variant. Just modify these values: | /* theme colors (red, green, blue): | 255, 87, 129 | 13, 0, 3 | | 174, 59, 90 | 52, 0, 14 | */ In the "gtk-3.0/gtk.css" and "cinnamon/cinnamon.css" files with the "replace all" option.
INSTALATION: Copy the contents of the "Semabe" archive to this location: ~/.themes or: /usr/share/themes If you want the synaptic app to be themed too. And restart the Cinnamon.
To install the symbolic icons that appear in the context menu (minimize, maximize, close) and the arrows used in the tree view and as a submenu indicator, copy the contents of the "symbolic icons" archive to one of these locations (depending on the icon set you are using): /usr/share/icons/Mint-Y/actions/symbolic /usr/share/icons/Mint-X/actions/scalable /usr/share/icons/breeze-dark/actions/symbolic /usr/share/icons/Yaru/scalable/actions /usr/share/icons/Numix/scalable/actions Warning! The original icons will be overwritten - make a backup copy.
10Okay it took me a minute to realize that I had to pick the size(s) I wanted to use and copy those folders into the .themes file or the usr/share/themes folder. But once they were there, my goodness, they look great, and add the applications in the .icon or usr/share/icons...nothing short of awesome. Thanks so much, feels like the early 2000s when I am using Semabe themes and applications.
Indeed, it would be useful to know that it is about the height of the headerbar and the size of the window control buttons. I should put there a “readme” file.
The reason is the semi-transparency of the background windows. You can disable it. Edit the "gtk.css" file, the "opacity" value in the ".background:backdrop" class should be "1". So it should be: .background:backdrop {
opacity: 1; }
10Thank you SO much for this theme. It Keeps the font size when applied, the animations are kept very well and it has many options of color. Fantastic work
In the "cinnamon.css" file, find and replace all the values "0.4)". And in the file "gtk-3.0/gtk.css" to change will be "0.58)". Value closer to zero - more transparent, 1 = opaque.
10I'll give it 10 because so far I haven't seen any errors or anything like that. I really liked the personality, because at the same time it reminds a lot of mid-2000 OS themes but it's very original.
8I like the skeuomorphic approach and I would be interested in an even more less transparent version: Semabe Grey No Transparent ... so that the windows and menues do not use any transparency.
9A strong 9. One thing I personally don't really care for myself, is transitions/animations though. IMO it just seems to make things seem slower. Easy enough to edit transition-durations though, no big deal. Cool theme!

sewbej, Has anyone reported that Semabe not playing well with Plank?

Thanks for the instructions. Plank is now playing well with Semabe. I appreciate the help and thanks again for creating such an awesome theme.

Thank you for the theme. I'm a beginner in Linux, could you tell me how to change the opacity?
What exactly do you want to change? I need more details.
I'm using the Sembabe Nordic Glassy theme and I would like to make it more transparent.
In the "cinnamon.css" file, find and replace all the values "0.4)". And in the file "gtk-3.0/gtk.css" to change will be "0.58)". Value closer to zero - more transparent, 1 = opaque.
Which line please?
There will be a lot to change. In a text editor, use the "replace all" option
I don't understand anything, I'll give it up, but thanks for the help. Linux is a prehistoric system, I will quickly return to Windows.
Returning to Windows because of opacity, that's an interesting one.
That's it plus so many things that disgust me about Linux.
10 one of the best I have had the privilege of downloading and using on my Linux Mint. Very professionally done, and the name is perfect. Thank you!
Good dark theme especially with elementosh-Black icon theme. At this time no problems with latest Manjaro system. Keep it up.

10 Out of the flat!

I agree: no transparency.
Opaque version added.
Thanks for the suggestion, I will think about the opaque version.
10 It's very beautiful. 10 the best
