The first one, "filename recode", rename files and dirs with UTF-8 encoding, by using convmv. The second one, "file recode", recode the content of a text file to UTF-8 by using recode.
depends on : * convmv * recode
install : Use the .deb if you can, or copy the .desktop files in ~/.kde/share/apps/konqueror/servicemenus/ for only one user, or in /usr/share/apps/konqueror/servicemenus/ (as root) for all usersLast changelog:

It would be nice if the page or the utility would make clear that it's set up to convert from to utf-8. It took me a while to find out, I was trying to convert filenames with iso8859-2.
