Hi, I just now downloaded the gurumaa fonts v. 1.30-1. In the change log it says that this font fall under the GPL category with font exception. But the license file in the zip file does not mention anything about the font exception. It is plain GPL V 2. Can anyone please confirm if the gurumaa v. 1.30-1 comes with GPL and font exception ?

Does any one has idea for similar kind of a font in windows.
Hey its a cool font i have seen ever
It is good, rather, it is very good, It will be better ..... so keep it up.
Hi, Excellent font. Only one suggestion. The word 'trayambakam' occurs in the Mrityunjaya mantra and not in Gayatri mantra.
Really good work.
1. typing text in OpenOffice.org 1.1.4 2. typing text in KWord 1.3.x or 1.4.x 3. testing hi.wikipedia.org with konqueror. The font is perfect here in slackware where I have "BYTECODE_COMPILER" enabled in freetype-2.1.7 and freetype-2.1.10. You can see that exactly in the screenshot. Please try compiling freetype with bytecode interpreter enabled. check freetype documentation. just remove /* and */ before and after "#define BYTE_CODE_INTERPRETER" in freetype-2.1.7/include/options/ftoptions.h
This is a good font but I am having some rendering issues. On http://hi.wikipedia.org, the half-letters are shown weirdly. For example, the word "Svagat" does not have have half S connected ot "Va". Instead S is shown as a separate letter with a little line that goes from lower-left corner to right-bottom. This line is shown below the S letter on the right side. All half words are shown like that. I am using freetype 2.1.7 to render this. Any idea what could be wrong? thanks, Osho

Could you put a INSTALL file on how this needs to be installed (for a newbie like me)
Just extract the tar, open the folder in Konqueror where you extracted. Open new tab with url -- fonts:/TTF Drag and drop the TTF files into this tab. restart session.
Keep up the good work. Osho
It definitely is a good font but needs some work on glyphs, I think. Currently I am testing the glyphs.
