Description: as a recent gnome convert, I am accustomed to wide selection of good quality docks (AWN, Cairo, Docky) but I've been disappointed with the lack of good docks for KDE. I've tried Daisy Plasmoid which is barely usable, and fancy tasks which simply seg faults on every computer I've tried it on. I was using AWN for a while, but I wanted something native to KDE. then it dawned me that I could use Icon Tasks since it basically emulates the Windows 7 superbar. Unfortunately IconTasks was not in the repos, and the repo I found for it spit out a bunch of apt errors when added to sources.list.
... SO long story short,I downloaded the source and compiled it as an easy to install deb for all of you to enjoy. tested on Kubuntu 11.04.
Icon Tasks is now called “Icon-Only task manager” and is included in package plasma-widgets-addons on Ubuntu and Ubuntu-based distributions (like Linux Mint 14). I don’t know about Debian…
Für Deutschsprechende: It was hard to find the german translation: „Symbol-Fensterleiste“…

All Debian-based distros that are based on current stable or newer have icon tasks in the plasma-widgets-addons package.
you can use this ppa for that: ppa:gnumdk/ppa it has i386 and amd64 packages
That is the PPA that I mentioned spits out apt errors for me. Hence the reason I built the package myself.
What is the error ?
I see. It works just fine here though
